Dr. Emerson Nafziger grew up on a farm in northwestern Ohio, and earned degrees in Agronomy from The Ohio State University, Purdue University, and the University of Illinois. He is Professor of Crop Sciences at the University of Illinois, where he has served as an Extension specialist since 1982. His research and Extension programs focus on corn management, including nitrogen, planting geometry, hybrids, rotations, and other management factors.
